Background of YIS
Yanbu International School is operated under a lease agreement with the Royal Commission of the Industrial City of Yanbu Al Sinaiyah. It serves the families employed by oil refineries and secondary industrial businesses. The school follows an American curriculum including the core academic program of Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Arab Culture, and Physical Education. In addition, the curriculum is further enriched by Foreign Language, Computer Science, Advanced Literature, Health, and other specialist subjects. Special education programs for students with learning disabilities, emotional or physical problems are not provided.
Student activities include Student Council, major sports, various clubs, crafts, games, music, library, yearbook, and other activities based on student interest.
