REACCREDITATION FOR YIS

The Visiting Validation Team of professional educators spent 3 days inspecting and reviewing our fulfillment of the 12 Middle States Association Standards, our Action Plans for improving student learning and our communication and processes. They interviewed many students, parents and school staff. They spent long hours each night preparing their reports. And, they gave us very good news:

Y.I.S. has been recommended for reaccreditation through May of 2017. This is an important accomplishment which helps ensure that we wiil continue to be licensed by KSA to operate our school and issue diplomas.

There are still 3 formal reviews of the reports and findings that must be completed by members of MSA before the accreditation is actually awarded. We expect it in May, 2011 when our previous accreditation expires.

The visiting team learned a lot about us and were very happy to encourage us to continue with our mission to help our students "achieve their wildest dreams."
