Dear Parents,

I would like to briefly introduce myself to you, as I will be your son or daughter's teacher for this year. My name is Grant Olsen and I am from New Zealand, I am married to Justine Olsen who will be arriving in the Kingdom shortly to teach in Grade 2. I have a healthy 20 month old son Zinzan, who will also be arriving soon.

My previous experience was a classroom teacher in New Zealand and I also taught in Surabaya, East Java Indonesia. I thoroughly enjoyed my overseas experience in Surabaya, exploring the scenic sites of Java and Bali. I now look forward to exploring the Kingdom and of course working alongside your child in Grade 3.

I truly believe that the overall success of your son or daughter in the classroom can be attributed by quality teacher guidance and delivery, parent support at home and student motivation to do their very best. I will apply a variety of teaching approaches to engage student learning and strive to make the classroom a safe environment, whereby students feel confident, safe and are committed to learning.

Throughout the year a Grade 3 newsletter will be sent out explaining what is going on in the classroom, general news and up and coming information.
